A small kitchen's transformation
Food and wine lover Drew Lambert has worked at some of Sydney's finest restaurants, so he knows a thing or 2 about top-notch food and wine. So when it came to renovating his small kitchen at his Bondi home, he wanted a kitchen which reflected his passion for food and entertaining.
"I like to entertain and host wine tastings and the old kitchen was very uninspiring" He says. "I just couldn't work in it I hate clutter and there was nowhere to put anything".
Lambert enlisted the help of friend Brett Buckley of Organise This to create his stylish new kitchen. The brief was to make the kitchen stylish and modern, with emphasis on maximizing space and storage.
Storage space was doubled with extra-large cupboards that run from floor to ceiling with a mirrored splashback adding the illusion of a bigger kitchen space. Lambert says the most ingenious inclusions however were the Fisher & Paykel appliances including the Luft pack and stove top.
The Luft Pack maximized the small kitchen space with a half sized oven above a DishDrawer while the stovetop has a flat ceramic surface with no knobs, providing additional bench space when not in use.
With the transformation of his kitchen complete, Drew says it is now a joy to cook and entertain.
