A1 GP Team New Zealand Sponsorship

Fisher & Paykel Appliances are proud to be a major sponsor of New Zealand’s A1 formula racing team. A1GP has finished its third series and has undoubtedly proved to be one of the most exciting developments to be seen in the international sporting arena.

A1GP Season opener:Zandvoort, Netherlands

Season 4 of the A1GP roared into life recently with the championship getting underway in the Netherlands on October 5th.
Kiwi driver Earl Bamber put on a stunning show in his debut drive in the new Ferrari powered Black Beauty. The 18-year-old rookie, showed maturity and control putting on an inspiring performance in the difficult wet conditions. After gaining a spot at the front of the grid during qualifying he was in a prime position to fight for the podium, this paid off with Team NZL finishing 2nd behind Malaysia in the sprint and 3rd in the feature race with France securing 1st.

Zandvoort was a brilliant opening to the season for Team NZL, continuing their top form of previous seasons and once again cementing themselves as one of the teams to watch as the series unfolds.

The next race is in Chengdu, China on November 7th.
